An Arctic adventure featuring Svalbard's history, its community and their work, breeding bird populations, cetaceans, polar bears, arctic fox, scenes of the pack ice, glaciers, and some amazing arctic flora.


The Society's Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday 7 October at 7:30pm in the Derby Room at Leigh Library. This will consist of several reports about the state of the Society as well as the election of Chairman and Committee Officers and Members.
Following the AGM our very own Peter Hodson will give a presentation about Ospreys and some of the learning about this species from Lake District Osprey Project. Peter has been actively involved in this Project for a number of years.'Birding in the Isle of Avalon'
The new season of L.O.S. Friday Night Presentation Talks starts on Friday 2nd September with a talk by Mike Roberts on birding the Somerset Levels.
